Executive Summary

WiMacTel Canada Inc. (the “Company”) is an integrated technology company that designs cloud-based network communications solutions focused on emergency services, customer care and legacy voice-to-cloud solutions.

This is the 2026 progress report on the 2024 Accessibility Plan.

Early progress has been limited, and the company is recommitting and re-scoping the plan to its actual operations.

Priority Areas (progress against the plan)

  • Employment: commitments not yet started; Accessibility Passport drafted; first step is onboarding content.
  • Built environment: no specific actions; small, leased office; nothing material to report.
  • Information and communication technology: com WAVE scan completed April 2025, defects identified, remediation scheduled; IP Relay page WCAG-remediated in prior years; an ICT audit program is not yet established.
  • Communication other than ICT: no document accessibility guidelines yet; alternate-format requests handled on request.
  • Procurement: no accessibility criteria added yet; planned for the next cycle.
  • Design and delivery of programs and services: Message Relay Services (TTY, IP, SMS, Video Relay) operate as a core CRTC-mandated accessible service; call-centre staff handle relay, and accessibility calls as routine business; plan-specific actions not yet started.
  • Transportation: not applicable to WiMacTel.

 

Consultations

In July 2026, the company consulted the employees including persons with disabilities by email and anonymous submission:  The topics included:

  • Physical barriers (e.g., entrances, doors, workstations, meeting rooms, washrooms, etc.)
  • Digital and technology barriers (e.g., software, websites, online documents, or collaboration tools that are difficult to access or use)
  • Communication barriers (e.g., meetings, presentations, training, or documents that are not accessible or available in alternative formats)
  • Policies, procedures, or workplace practices (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, accommodation processes, or other workplace policies that create challenges)
  • Work environment barriers (e.g., lighting, noise, temperature, or workspace layout)
  • Attitudinal barriers (e.g., assumptions, stereotypes, or a lack of awareness or understanding of accessibility needs)
  • Emergency preparedness barriers (e.g., emergency communications or evacuation procedures that are not accessible)
  • Any other barrier that affects your ability to access the workplace, perform your job, or fully participate in the workplace.

 

Feedback

The company received feedback through emails and anonymous submissions.

The feedback is group in areas of concerns including:

  • Call center
  • Employment
  • Offices
  • Web Portal

Each area of concern is assigned to an owner for review and follow-up.

 

Closing note

The plan will be re-scoped to WiMacTel’s actual operations at the next update, removing inapplicable content carried over from the original plan.
